Brampton builds barrier film lines in China (Brampton, Ontario, Canada, January 9, 2004) Brampton Engineering
continues to build on its success with barrier film lines in China.
Philip Kwok, Vice President of Sales says, "China is showing the biggest
growth in the region. We have realized a significant increase in our
sales since we opened our BE China office in Suzhou in 2000. We are
now the undisputed leader in multilayer blown film technology in the
world. For example, we have the largest installed base of multilayer
lines in China. Our lines are producing superior film for our customers
who are supplying food, medical and industrial packaging." To provide
support for this expanding customer base BE has recently increased
its service capability in China by adding an experienced technician
to its Suzhou office.
Bud Smith, President and CEO of Brampton Engineering has traveled
extensively in China visiting BE customers and he said that "2003
was a banner year for Brampton Engineering as we celebrated 30 years
of excellence in the design and manufacture of blown film machinery
for the flexible packaging industry." From the outset, Brampton Engineering
focused on meeting its customers' requirements with custom solutions
and products featuring innovative technology.
Brampton's most significant contribution to the industry was its introduction
of the world's first modular or stackable die. Brampton's innovative
technology in its Streamlined Coextrusion Die (SCD) enables processors
to produce film with superior barrier properties in 7, 8, 9 and 10-layers.
Brampton sold the world's first 8, 9 and 10-layer blown film systems.
