BE appoints new Vice President Sales North America

Bud Smith, President and CEO of BE (Brampton Engineering) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Stobie as Vice President of Sales with responsibilities for sales and direct marketing in North America. Stobie will serve as a member on the BE Management Team.


BE sells 8-layer AquaFrost® line in China

Philip Kwok, Vice President of Sales at BE announced that BE has sold an 8-layer AquaFrost® line to J&A in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China.

Up and down lines provide training and testing venue

BE (Brampton Engineering) is installing two new lines in its Blown Film Technology Center. "We expect bubble up on a new 9-layer conventional blown film line in early spring 2006 and we will have bubble down with a 7-layer AquaFrost® line in late spring," says BE President and CEO Bud Smith.

BE winder delivers operator safety and programmable roll geometry

BE (Brampton Engineering) new surface winder enhances operator safety while winding top quality rolls at speeds to meet customer demands. A touch screen interface controls (through a PLC) all the parameters of the winder such as tension, speed, set point and taper.




BE commercializes AquaFrost®
R.L. Bud Smith, President and CEO of Brampton Engineering (BE) today announced the sale of two AquaFrost® lines to undisclosed European blown film producers. By using water as a cooling medium AquaFrost produces film with high clarity, balanced orientation and deep draw thermoformability at high output rates.



BE introduces next generation of control system for blown film
The BE operator-friendly ITALYCS®4 (Integrated Temperature And Line Yields Controls) provides completely integrated control of all critical components of a blown film line. Bud Smith, President and CEO says, "These systems benefit from the experience we have gained in the 15 years since the first ITALYCS installation."



I-Fl ex family delivers the best gauge, flattest film
Brampton Engineering (BE) recent focus has been to provide methods for customers to produce flat film i.e. with improved gauge control. Bud Smith, President and CEO of BE says, "With our new I-Fl ex™ family of gauge controls we provide every possible way to effectively control gauge. The choice of an appropriate gauge control system depends on the application. The newest member of the family is the I-Fl ex™ Heated Lip. It is suitable for most conventional blown film processes."



BE introduces SCD-3
Bud Smith, President and CEO of Brampton Engineering today introduced the SCD-3 a new and improved Streamlined Coextrusion Die. He said, "it may not look any different on the outside but users are benefitting from proprietary improvements we have made to the fundamental design."

Brampton shows 9-layer Streamlined Coextrusion Die
Brampton Engineering is the world leader in multilayer blown film extrusion. Brampton will be exhibiting a 9-layer SCD with 24-inch (600mm) lips, for a maximum layflat of 110 inches (2800mm).


 
Small High Output Cylindrical Die Package
Brampton's small diameter high output cylindrical die package can produce at the rate of 28 lb/inch of die circumference (1.6 kg per mm die diameter).
